The Mission of the Derry Fire Department Honor Guard is to serve, with honor and distinction, past and present Derry Fire Fighters for their dedication and service to the Department and Town of Derry, New Hampshire. By participating in funerals, memorials, department functions and public events, the Honor Guard proudly displays our flag in tribute. Not forgotton are the fire fighters from around the United States and the World for their service and dedication to this honorable profession.

The Derry Fire Department Honor Guard has performed at various events throughout the state of New Hampshire, including events at the New Hampshire Fire Academy. The Honor Guard has also made trips to the National Fallen Fire Fighter's Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland and to our nations capital, Washington, DC. The Honor Guard routinely performs in local parades, ceremonies, funerals and special events in Derry and around the state. The Derry Honor Guard will attend funerals for active duty fire fighters and members of their immediate family, as well as retired members and fire fighters from communities throughout the state.  The Derry Fire Department Honor Guard was formed in 1996, comprised of eight members of the Derry Fire Department. The group went through special drill instructor training with members of the National Guard. Even though some of the names have changed, Derry Fire Honor Guard now have nine members and drill regularly. The members are:

BC Mike Doyle, Lt. Brett Scholbe, Lt. Bruno Soucy, Lt. Chucky Moorehead, Lt. Derek Tunberg, Jason Hall, Ryan Bump, Mike Willinsky and Al Daviault

The Derry Fire Department Honor Guard is a non profit organization, raising funds to help us outfit members, travel to funerals, events and the National Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial yearly. Your help and donations are greatly appreciated. Stay tuned here for upcoming fundraising activities.
