Derry Fire Members Assist With Building Float

for Manchester Holiday Parade

Members of the Derry Fire department assisted with the construction of a Holiday Float, for the December 5th Manchester Holiday Parade.  With assistance from Jillian’s of Manchester, The Make a Wish Foundation, Whiskey girls and the Manchvegas Roller Girls, the float was constructed from wood donated by the Home Depot of Manchester. A large flat-bed trailer was donated by Green Magic Landscaping, LLC.

This year’s goal was to host three Make a Wish Foundation children on the float.  One child wanted to meet a firefighter, the second child wanted to go to Hawaii, and the third child wanted to meet a princess.  The first child was able to wear real firefighting equipment, and stand next to one of Derry’s firefighters, the second child was able to dress like they were going to Hawaii, and the third child stood next to Ms. NH.
