A message from Seabrook Local 2847

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

 Seabrook Professional Firefighters, Local 2847 has suffered 2 losses in the last month.  These losses are taxing our ability to help our brothers who have been hurt.

 Firefighter Lawrence “Koko” Perkins suffered a heart attack while fighting an industrial fire.  This ailment resulted in double bypass surgery which will keep him out of work for some time.  As we all know too well, workers comp is not in a rush to approve this claim which leaves him and his family in dire financial straits.

 Firefighter Jere Duggan was involved in a very serious motor vehicle accident.  His injuries include a shattered femur and internal injuries.  Short/long term insurance is not enough to sustain him and his family.  His injuries are likely to be very long term.
